Overview
What it does.
QuickMotion adds real motion blur to any footage — not directional, not gaussian, not faked from frame blending. It reads pixel motion using Apple Vision optical flow, blurs along true vectors on the GPU with Metal, and ships an instantly editable shutter, sample count, and angle. Designed to stack after Repetile so source and mirror blur as one.
Features
Built to do one thing right.
01
Apple Vision optical flow
On-device ML model reads true per-pixel motion. No cloud. No queue. Every frame, real velocity.
02
Vector-true blur
Blurs along the direction each pixel actually moves. Wheels spin. Hair whips. No directional fudge.
03
Shutter, samples, angle
Match any camera. 180° default, or push to 360° for dreamy or down to 22.5° for crisp. Sample count is yours.
04
Stacks with Repetile
Designed to run after Repetile so source and reflected frame blur together as one continuous motion field.

FAQ
Quick answers.
Does it slow my timeline down?+
QuickMotion caches optical flow per clip. First scrub is realtime on Apple Silicon; subsequent edits are instant.
Is the ML model running locally?+
Yes. All flow estimation happens on-device via Apple Vision. No frames ever leave your machine.
Will it replace my After Effects CC Force Motion Blur?+
For source footage with no per-layer transforms, yes — and better. For composited layers driven by transforms, you'll still want AE's native option.
